Record the setup, not just the preset
A settings recommendation is only useful when the reader knows the device mode, display resolution, frame limit, control layout, and game build used for the test.
- Note the game version and SteamOS version before testing.
- Record resolution, frame limit, refresh rate, and battery or thermal behavior.
- Check whether map labels and targeting details remain readable at handheld size.
- Repeat after major game or Proton updates before keeping the recommendation live.
Recommended page status
Until a direct test is recorded, label the page as a test log rather than a guaranteed preset. This preserves trust and gives later measurements a clear place to land.
