Run the same five checks
A repeatable record is more useful than a lucky hit. Work down the list before firing, then keep the result of the shot next to the original estimate.
- Confirm the target reference and the map point you are reading from.
- Record the observation point and the range or measurement used for the shot.
- Check the elevation or adjustment state before changing the next input.
- Choose a shell that matches the target and the current mission requirement.
- After impact, write down short, long, left, or right before making one correction.
One change per correction keeps the next shot useful as evidence.
What this page does not assume
The exact values and behavior can change with a patch or mission. This checklist deliberately records the workflow without inventing a universal angle, range table, or damage claim.
Use the checker on the home page
The Field Manual checker turns this routine into a shot diagnostic: choose the situation, record the inputs and observed result, then follow one controlled next action. It is a workflow aid, not an in-game calculator.
