Keep the measurement auditable
A map number without its scale and reference point is difficult to reproduce. Capture the map view, the two references used, and the observation point in the same note before moving to the gun.
- Write the map scale or grid context beside the measurement.
- Use named references that another player can identify from the same mission.
- Do not mix a measurement from one zoom level with a direction from another.
- Compare the result with terrain and the mission description before firing.
Separate location from firing input
The map measurement creates a working target location. It does not by itself prove the final elevation, shell, or impact result. Keep those as separate fields in the shot record.
Source and verification
Public guide material supports map measurements as a meaningful IRON NEST task. Exact locations and values should be added only after a current-build test with a dated mission context.
